Gift Munira Mudi is a professional make-up artist and the founder of MudiGlam. Can you tell us more about yourself?

Most people know me as Mudi. To clarify-Mudi is actually my surname, and it holds

deep sentimental value for me. It’s the name of my late paternal grandfather, a man I loved deeply. Its an intentional choice to carry to carry the legacy in everything I do. Both Gift and Mudi are mine, and together, they tell my story.

I’m the founder and creative director of Mudiglam, a luxury beauty brand based in

Johannesburg. I’m a self-taught professional makeup artist, model, mom, and educator with years of experience in the fashion and beauty industry. I specialize in bridal, editorial, and hands on 1-on-1 training. Mudiglam recently opened its studio in fourways and continues to grow as a beauty destination for curated, skin-like glam and intentional artistry.

My work is rooted in faith, creativity, transformation, and the joy of making women look and feel their best. I’m deeply passionate about helping others see themselves the way God sees them, beautiful, fearless, powerful, and worthy of His love.

Can you tell us more about your career and Mudiglam?

Mudiglam began from Mudi’s deep-rooted love for beauty and her natural desire to make those around her, (friends and family) feel truly beautiful. With years of

experience in the beauty industry as a fashion model herself, Mudi developed a trained eye for details, artistry, and skin. What started in a personal space has grown into a full-blown luxury beauty brand known for skin-focused makeup, professional service, and hands-on education.

Over the years, Mudiglam has evolved into more than just makeup. It’s a beauty

destination offering personalized glam sessions, bridal artistry, content production looks, male grooming, and structured private training. With the recent opening of a dedicated studio space in Fourways, Johannesburg, Mudiglam continues to expand! Serving both clients and the next generation of makeup artists through immersive 1-on-1 sessions and curated masterclasses.

For Mudi, Mudiglam is not just a business, it is a ministry. It is the assignment God placed in her hands, a calling rooted in purpose, transformation, and service. Every brushstroke carries a deeper meaning: to celebrate confidence, craft, and the grace of God.

At the heart of Mudiglam is one unwavering truth: God is the foundation. The journey, the growth, the favour—none of it could have been orchestrated without Him. Grounded in excellence, faith, and professionalism, Mudiglam has had the honour of working with clients, brides, influencers, public figures, and creatives. Each experience guided by the grace and marked with intention.

How is your relationship with God guiding the way you do business.

My relationship with God is the foundation of everything I do. I believe Mudiglam is not just a business, but a calling and assignment rooted in purpose. I prayerfully commit every step of my journey to Him, from creative direction to client relationships, and I constantly strive to serve with integrity, humility, and excellence. My goal is to reflect His grace in how I show up, create, and lead. I always show up knowing who I am and whose I am in Christ Jesus.

What is your favourite bible verse and why?

I’d be lying if I said I had one favourite Bible verse but here’s one of my absolute

favourites:

Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

This verse is my anchor, especially during uncertain or overwhelming seasons. It reminds me that I don’t have to rely on my own strength, that through Christ, I am equipped, sustained, and capable of doing everything He’s assigned to me—even when it feels heavy, when my capacity or knowledge is failing. Having Him is all that I need.
