Can you tell us more about yourself?
Minenhle Nxumalo, a purpose-driven aspiring Chartered Accountant (SA) currently completing my articles, with my sign-off planned for September 2025. I'm passionate about audit, mentorship, youth empowerment, and using my voice and platform to make a difference where it matters most.
Professionally, I've gained experience across various sectors including non-profits, education, manufacturing, and energy. I enjoy the detail and discipline that auditing brings, and I thrive in environments that allow me to both lead and learn.
Beyond my career, I'm the proud founder and chairperson of Ibutho Organisation, a youth-focused initiative that supports personal development, spiritual growth, and community engagement. One of our key campaigns, the Period With Pride Movement, promotes menstrual dignity through education, access, and advocacy, something I deeply care about.
I'm also a mentor to aspiring CAs, particularly those navigating the SAICA journey. Whether it's preparing for board exams or adjusting to work-life balance, I believe in showing up for others — because so many once showed up for me.
Can you tell us more about your career and Ibutho Organisation?
Ibutho Organisation is a youth-led foundation committed to empowering individuals aged 15 to 29 through mentorship, mental wellness support, spiritual growth, and community-driven initiatives. One of our flagship campaigns, the Period with Pride Movement, promotes menstrual dignity by distributing sanitary products, breaking stigmas, and educating communities.
Alongside this, my professional career is rooted in external auditing, where I've gained comprehensive experience in sectors such as non-profits, education, energy, and manufacturing. I've led and supported audits from planning through finalization, and my work involves financial reporting, risk assessment, and compliance. This blend of social leadership and professional expertise allows me to lead with both purpose and precision.
How is your relationship with God guiding the way you do business?
My relationship with God is the foundation of everything I do, in both business and leadership. It guides me to lead with integrity, humility, and purpose. In my audit career, I strive to be honest, diligent, and ethical, knowing that my work is a form of service. Through Ibutho Organisation, I lean on God’s wisdom to create impact that uplifts others, particularly the youth. Prayer and spiritual discernment play a big role in every decision, reminding me that I’m building not just for today, but for a greater purpose.
What is your favourite bible verse and why?
Ephesians 3:20 - "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us."
This verse is a powerful reminder that God is not limited by our circumstances, fears, or even our dreams. You love this verse because it speaks to hope, faith, and divine abundance, that God’s power can exceed anything we can think or pray for. It fuels your belief that your journey, whether in business, Ibutho, or personal life, is guided by a God who works beyond limits — and that no dream is too big when it’s in His hands.
